The Bacso family attended a motocross event about two decades ago. At the awards ceremony, young Mason caught the cork of second place finisher. He began collecting corks from events and family members. Soon he had amassed a laundry basket full. Father Dean decided to make a cork board for college out of some of the spare corks we had. The feedback was exceptional and we saw and opportunity to decorate homes around the US.

That is a great question! Unfortunately we do not have a great answer. We spent months brainstorming names and in the end we kept comping back to Corkapotamus due to its unique and fun to say name.

All cork boards are hand made in a home shop. We only use real corks and have developed a variety of useful techniques to create a clean and elegant piece. Each product has been sanded, stained, and had attachment accessories applied. Since each product is unique, we are happy to work with you to make the best possible product for your needs.
